Relational Observables and Spacetime Emergence Workshop
We are pleased to announce ROSE — Relational Observables and Spacetime Emergence, a workshop taking place in Heidelberg, Germany, from February 8–12, 2027.
This workshop is aimed at early-career researchers working on quantum gravity. Young researchers are actively contributing to a wide range of approaches in the field, and ROSE aims to bring these diverse perspectives together in one place. By fostering collaboration across different communities, the workshop aims to support progress on shared conceptual and technical questions.
Within this broad landscape, an especially fruitful common perspective is the operational one: what is measurable when no fixed spacetime is available? What does “scale” mean when geometry is emergent? And how can these questions be addressed in lower-dimensional models of quantum gravity?
